|FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. How far in advance do I need to reserve a room?
A. If we have vacancies, we’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, but our advice is to call a few weeks ahead. Seasonal (Azalea Trail in the spring and Rose Festival in the fall) and holiday weekend demand varies. (First Monday Canton weekends are high demand times, too.) If you are planning a group outing and want to reserve all three rooms, do contact us in advance.
Q. What if I have to cancel my reservation?
A. You may cancel up to 72 hours before your reservation without penalty. Cancellations with less notice will be charged one night's lodging unless we are able to rebook the room.
Q. Do you accept credit/debit cards or personal checks?
A. We will accept your MasterCard or VISA number to hold your reservation. If you would like to pay by check, we must receive your check by mail in advance of your stay.
Q. What are check-in and check-out times?
A. Please check in between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Check-out time is noon. If you have special circumstances and need some flexibility with these times, let us know.
Q. Do you accept children?
A. All our rooms have queen-size beds for single or double occupancy. If you bring children, you must reserve accommodations for them. We are not equipped with high chairs or infant necessities.
Q. May we bring our pet?
A. We love animals, but please make other arrangements for your pets. We do not have kennels or dog runs, and the property has open pole and barbed wire fencing unsuitable for dogs to run free.
Q. What’s the easiest way to get there?
A. Dogwood Hill is near the crossroads of FM 14 and FM 16 north of Tyler. We are equally accessible via Interstate 20 (Exit 562), Hwy. 80 (to FM 14 in Hawkins) or Hwy 69 (to FM 16 in Lindale). See the CONTACT/MAP page for directions.
Q. Do you offer gift certificates?
A. Certainly! A weekend at Dogwood Hill makes a thoughtful gift for couples celebrating anniversaries or someone who needs a break from workaday stress.
